Safeguarding Statement

East Crompton St. George’s  C of E Primary School is committed to safeguarding  and promoting the welfare of children and requires all staff, volunteers and visitors to share this commitment.

Visitors will be provided with a leaflet which contains information about our expectations of you whilst visiting the school. If you are unclear about anything in it, please speak to any of the contacts listed below.

If you are concerned about the safety of any child in our school, you must report this to either the Executive Headteacher with overall responsibility: Mr Mark Couper-Barton or the Designated whole school lead: Mrs Amanda Robinson – Head of School

If you are concerned about the conduct of a member of staff or a volunteer in our school, you must contact either the Executive Headteacher with overall responsibility: Mr Mark Couper-Barton or the Designated whole school lead: Mrs Amanda Robinson – Head of School

Our school is part of Operation Encompass. This is a police and education early intervention safeguarding partnership which supports children and young people who experience Domestic Abuse.

Operation Encompass means that the police will share information about Domestic Abuse incidents with our school PRIOR to the start of the next school day when they have been called to a domestic incident.

Our Key Adult is Mrs Nicola Lord.

Our parents are aware that we are an Operation Encompass school.

Operation Encompass information is stored in line with all other confidential safeguarding and child protection information.
