Performance and Attainment

School Attainment Data

The document below shows the most recent data headlines from National assessments in 2019, with additional data from previous years. Our baseline data in Early Years is consistently lower than National expectations, but pupils make sustained and rapid progress through their Reception year so that by the end of the Reception year our data is just below National. We have introduced a systematic and robust phonics programme to increase the percentage of pupils passing the phonics screening test in year 1. We are extremely pleased that our key stage 2 data shows significant improvements with reading, mathematics and combined above National average in 2019. National tests have not taken place in 2020 or 2021 due to Covid-19 and the subsequent impact on pupils education. St George’s has put a robust strategy in place to support pupils in accelerating progress to achieve age related expectations following the significant school closure due to the pandemic.
